01

What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy applies to cookies and similar browser-storage technologies used by the Apsara Elearning website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.

The technologies described here may store an identifier or preference on your browser, or allow our servers to recognize a valid signed-in session.

02

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text record a website asks your browser to store and return with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser feature that keeps preferences on your device and is not automatically sent with each request.

Apsara uses first-party cookies, meaning they are set for the Apsara Elearning site. Services you choose to open, such as Stripe's hosted checkout, may use their own cookies on their websites.

03

Necessary sign-in cookies

When you sign in, Apsara sets protected access and refresh cookies. They allow the platform to confirm that requests belong to your account and renew a session without repeatedly asking for your password.

In production, these cookies are restricted to secure connections, are not available to normal browser scripts, and use protections intended to reduce cross-site misuse. The short access cookie lasts up to one day and the refresh cookie lasts up to seven days. Signing out removes them.

04

Language and appearance preferences

When you choose Khmer or English, Apsara stores that selection in a first-party language cookie for up to one year and in local storage so the interface updates consistently. You can change the language at any time from the language control.

Your light, dark, or system theme choice is stored locally by your browser until you change it or clear the site's stored data. These preferences are selected by you and are not used to follow you across other websites.

05

Local profile storage

Apsara uses local storage to keep selected interface information such as your displayed name, email, avatar, weekly learning goal, XP, and streak on the device. The signed-in platform still checks current account and learning information with our servers.

Local storage remains on the browser until it is replaced or cleared. If you use a shared device, sign out when finished and consider clearing Apsara Elearning site data from the browser to remove locally saved preferences.

06

Third-party services

Apsara does not currently place third-party advertising, social-media tracking, or cross-site analytics cookies on its pages.

If you open a third-party service from Apsara, such as Stripe Checkout or the Stripe billing portal, that provider may set cookies under its own policy. A link to another website also takes you to a service with its own storage practices, which Apsara does not control.

07

How long browser records last

Session-related records expire according to their configured lifetime or are removed when you sign out. Preference cookies and local storage can remain longer so the platform remembers your choices on a future visit.

You can remove stored records earlier through your browser settings. Browser data may also be removed automatically by private-browsing mode, device settings, storage limits, or browser cleanup tools.

08

Your browser controls

Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies and site storage. Look for privacy, cookies, permissions, or site-data settings in your browser. Clearing Apsara Elearning data will sign you out and reset locally saved choices.

Blocking necessary cookies means account sign-in, protected lessons, the AI tutor, profile features, and subscription management may not work. You can adjust language and theme preferences directly from Apsara's controls without clearing all site data.

09

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our browser technologies, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If we introduce optional analytics, advertising, or similar tracking, we will explain it and provide any choices required by applicable law.
